Hamer Public / Elementary Library

About our Library:

We have lots of books, audio books, CDs, and DVDs that are available to check out.  Also, preschool totes, kindergarten readiness kits, math file folder games, magazines, puzzles, and laptops to check out!

We have public use internet access computers, printers, copy machine, fax machine, laminator, and book binder.

We have an outdoor book drop by the library door to return your library books.  You can return books, CDs, and DVDs at any time.  The library door is locked while the kids are in school, but we have a doorbell to ring.

We have recently been providing take-home packets with an accompanying video for our Preschool Program and Summer Programs.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a way for our patrons to borrow books or get copies of articles that we do not own.  We share resources with hundreds of libraries

When a loved one has passed away,  you can donate a book in the loved one’s memory.  Just ask the librarian, she will be glad to explain the program to you.

Library Activities during the school year include:

  • Preschool “Tales for Tots” the first and third Thursdays of the month at 10:30am.
  • Community Book Chat each month.
  • Dessert and a Book Family Reading Night
  • Family STEM Night.
  • In the Summer we have two programs:  Summer Reading and Summer Science.  This is held each Wednesday at 10:00am.
