What is Parent Check-in Day on the WJ School Calendar?
Our first "Parent Check-in" is Friday, October 20th. Terreton Campus Teachers will be at school from 8:30am to 12:00pm (break for lunch) and then from 1:00pm to 3:50pm. Hamer Teachers will be at Hamer Elem. from 7:45am to 3:00pm. (Some teachers have scheduled meeting times with parents. If you have a scheduled meeting time, please stick to that schedule.)
Parents are invited to communicate with their children's teachers in one way or another during this Check-in Day. Teachers will be available to meet with you in person and/or communicate with you using the WJ App (Rooms), email, etc. We encourage all parents to log in to Otus from home ahead of time to check their children's grades. (If you are unable to log in to your parent account, have your kids log in to their account to show you their grades.) If needed, Mr. Reyna, our Tech Supervisor, can help with Otus or WJ App log-ins. reynaj@wjsd.org

Homecoming Week Elementary DRESS-UP DAYS
- Let's have some fun!!!
5th/6th Student Counsel has planned some fun dress-up days to celebrate Homecoming next week.
These days are PK-6th only; Jr High and HS will be doing their own thing, so watch for communication from them. We will send this home on a flyer later this week but wanted to give everyone a heads-up a little early.
9/18- Mismatched Monday- Wear mismatched clothes, shoes, etc
9/19 - Twinning Tuesday- Find a buddy and make them your twin
9/20 - Wednesday- AMERICAN DAY- Red, White, and Blue
9/21 - Thursday- PANTHER DAY- Show your PANTHER spirit and wear your panther gear / West Jefferson Colors!
September School Lunch Menu
Remember, the breakfast and lunch menus are in the dining section of our app. Any changes to the menus throughout the month should be updated there.
Due to downed power lines, Hamer Elementary will have a 10:00 am start. Buses will run 2 hours later. Please drop off at the church and have kids walk across the grass as power crew may be in the school parking lot. School will end at its regular time.
Terreton schools will start at their regular time.

Bus message for parents and students using the bus stop near Sage Junction.
If parents are not at the bus stop on time in the morning, they will need to drive their kids to school.
If parents are not at the bus stop in the afternoon, Nyla would need to keep the students on the bus and meet the parents somewhere else on the route.

Terreton and Hamer Elementary Schools are excited to welcome everyone back! Both schools will have back-to-school open houses on August 18th from 11-2 PM. Come meet your teacher and see your new classrooms.
Hamer In-Person Registration has been moved to Terreton. Update on the Hamer School water: The new well was drilled this week, but the pump still needs to be installed. We are on schedule to have it all ready to go by the time school starts. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
