Terreton Elementary School

25 Years! In 2000, Terreton Elementary teachers and students created a time capsule to be opened twenty-five years later, in 2025. The time capsule was then stored in the basement of the '38 building of the Terreton Elementary School until now! Plans have been made for the time capsule to be opened on the last day of school. On Thursday, May 29th at 11:15AM, those who would like to come to the Panther Den to witness the opening of the time capsule are welcome to join us! A new time capsule will then be created to be opened in 2050! Rumor has it, there is a Twinkie inside the time capsule! Come to find out! Check to see if you recognize any names on the time capsule and tag them in the comments!

Terreton Elementary's Spring Music Concert will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Parents are welcome to check their child out after the concert or have them return to their classrooms until the end of school.

The School Nutrition Association’s 2025 Awards Celebration was recently held, and one of our West Jefferson Child Nutrition staff members was awarded the 2025 Western Region Employee of the Year. We want to congratulate ELVIA FLORES for receiving this award! These awards recognize excellence in school food service, leadership, and professional growth, and celebrate the SNA members and state affiliates making a real impact across the country.

We have a new opportunity to help put books in the hands of the youngest members of our West Jefferson Community! Contact Lindsey (Cope) Miller with any questions or to sign up for the pickleball tournament. If pickleball isn't your thing, donations to the Imagination Library are accepted at the Bank of Commerce in Mud Lake or the website listed on the flyer. There has been a change in the time from the original plan. The pickleball tournament will now start at 9:00AM. There are separate men's and women's brackets.

Our high school football team is hosting a youth football camp on May 10th. Put this date on your calendar! It was a big success last year! Advance sign-ups are not required, but students should be bringing home flyers with a registration sheet for those that would like to sign up ahead of time.

TheTerreton PTO is gearing up for the upcoming "Teacher Appreciation Week." This will include all Terreton campus teachers and staff, not just elementary. Rue Sauer is finally coming home! Rue is the daughter of Ryan & Kinzie Sauer of Monteview. For months, she has had to stay in Utah in and out of Primary Children's Hospital battling heart issues. We are excited to welcome her and her family back home and invite everyone to tie red ribbons on all of the power poles on their route home.
