ANNOUNCEMENT:

If you’ve driven past our Terreton School Campus lately, you’ve probably noticed construction happening—and we’re excited about the improvements being made in our schools!

Most of the work is nearing completion, although a few finishing touches will continue after school begins. Please see the image for the project timeline and expected completion dates.

Once everything is finished, we will have newly remodeled restrooms in:

• Terreton Elementary School
• West Jefferson Junior High School
• West Jefferson High School

We’re also remodeling the P.E. changing rooms/locker rooms at West Jefferson High School.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while these improvements are completed and look forward to our students and staff enjoying the updated spaces!

Here is Coach Higgs' Athletic Performance Training for the week of August 10-13, 2026.

School Registration for all West Jefferson School District Schools is happening August 10 & 11! Come to pay fees and receive help with filling out online registration forms. (You can start the online form process by logging into your parent PowerSchool account and click on "Forms" and then "Enrollment Forms.") If you need help with logging into PowerSchool, contact Mr. Gemar at davidgemar@wjsd.org or Mr. Reyna at reynaj@wjsd.org. Check your email for more detailed information about how to log into PowerSchool and how to fill out the online forms!! Make sure the emails didn't go to your spam folder! If you didn't receive emails from the school in the past 2 weeks, you have some updating to do on your school contact information! Come to registration, and we can help you! Our Transportation Department and Food Service Department will be present to help with bus and lunch information. Instead of buying school supplies in-store, K-6th grade students have the option to pay a $20 Supply Fee, and the school will provide all of their school supplies. For Junior High and High School Students, we recommend buying a notebook for each class period (7) and pencils. Any other needed supplies will be determined by which classes they are signed up for. Students will find out more information about what they might need during the first couple of days of school.

NOTICE: The weight room will be open earlier in the evening this week.

Even though this week is busy with fall sports camps, Coach Higgs will still be available to do workouts for those who can make it!

Be sure athletes are hydrating all day, every day!

Ben Burtenshaw, PA-C, will be offering Sports Physicals for West Jefferson Athletes on July 29 from 4:00PM- 6:00PM at the Panther Den. $10 per athlete (which Ben will be generously donating back to West Jefferson athletics.)

Sports Physicals are required for all incoming 4th, 7th, 9th, 11th grade, & first-year athletes.

Interim Forms do not require a medical professional to complete them, but they are required for the in-between years.

Summer is winding down! Are you going to wish you had come to the free summer training sessions?

REMEMBER: Coach Higgs has asked that parents not send elementary-age children to Athletic Performance Training. This is for safety reasons and because space in the weight room is limited.

Athletic Performance Training is open to West Jefferson students entering grades 7–12 this fall, both boys and girls.

West Jefferson will begin serving the meal at 6:30PM. Parade starts at 7:00PM. Fireworks will be at dark.
