Weekly Athletic Schedule - Feb. 17-22, 2025
There was a change in the schedule from when we posted this early in the week.
Thursday has been CANCELLED and Friday has been added. The High School students are scheduled for 10-11:00am. The Junior High students are welcome to come on Friday at 11:00am to get started with Coach Higgs' Athletic Training Program.
Coach Higgs welcomes West Jefferson students to come work with him in the West J Legacy Gym/Weightroom this week on the days listed on the image. You do not currently have to be playing sports to participate.
Our Junior High Boys Basketball team will compete in their district tournament on Saturday, Feb. 15th at Firth High School.
West Jefferson will play Firth in Game 2 at 11:30am.
There will be a Hunter Certification Class in Mud Lake for those who are interested.
Mac Hall, a junior at West Jefferson High School, has reached a milestone in his high school wrestling career. 100 WINS!
He was awarded a banner by Coach Rogers for his accomplishment.
Mac is currently ranked #2 in the State of Idaho for 3A/2A/1A wrestlers in the 165 lb weight class.
Great job Mac!

Regular School Board Meeting - Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025.
Executive Session will begin at 11:30am, followed by Regular Session at approximately 12:30pm.

Tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 11 will be SENIOR NIGHT for our Boys Basketball Stat Girls, Pep Band Members, & Cheerleader.
Honoring these Seniors will take place between the JV & Varsity Boys Basketball Game.
Our Boys Basketball Team will be honoring their SENIORS at tonight's game. (Tue. Feb. 11)
This will take place before the start of the Varsity game.
C-Team starts at 5:15pm (2 quarters)
JV starts at 6:00pm
Varsity starts at 7:30pm

CEI is holding their annual dental cleaning event this month. Due to the popularity of the program, appointments are required and space is limited. February 24; 4-8PM
This change will move our Junior High and High School games closer together that are both being played in Salmon.
Our Girls Basketball Team will play in a loser out game against North Fremont (tonight) Friday, Feb. 7th at 6:00pm. This game will be played at Thunder Ridge High School in Idaho Falls.
SENIOR NIGHT for our wrestling team will be Thursday, Feb. 6th at 5:00pm
We have one senior to honor this year - Gunner Capell. This will take place immediately before the match starts.
Please join us to honor our senior and to support the wrestling team in their last home event of the season.
Our Girls Basketball Team defeated North Fremont on Monday in their first district game.
They will now be playing against Firth on Wednesday, Feb. 5th at South Fremont High School in the second round of the district tournament!

Special Board Meeting - Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025.

Juniors and Seniors - We will be holding the ACT on Friday, March 7, at 8:00 am, in the High School. You can sign up with Mr. Gemar in his office or by sending an email to davidgemar@wjsd.org. Seniors and Parents - We'll be holding a FAFSA Night on Monday, February 24 from 6-8pm. Please make sure that you already have your FSA ID created at least 4 days in advance. You will not be able to submit if you're creating it that night, and it takes 3 days for verification. We'll have representatives from CSI and CEI there to help you.
