Rally for Rue! Bake Sale will be held this week on Sep. 17th, 18th, & 19th in the Terreton Elementary Blue Gym from 11:30am-1:00pm or until items sell out each day. Did you miss registration? Please log in to PowerSchool to register your student for the upcoming school year. The online enrollment forms apply to every student throughout our district. Completing the online forms: * Ensures that we have your students fully enrolled and on the class & teacher lists. * Ensures we have the most up-to-date parent/guardian contact information for general communication as well as emergencies. * Ensures that we have accurate information when submitting reports to the State Department of Education Thank you!!

Registration for New Students coming to any school within the West Jefferson School District will be held Wednesday, August 7th from 9:00am to Noon. In-Person School Registration for Returning Students will be held Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the ALC Building in Terreton. We are having repair work done on our well, so water usage (restrooms) will be limited. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office will conducting an officer training in our high school building on Monday and Wednesday this week. There will be a large number of police vehicles parked around the high school. Online registration is available when you sign in to your parent PowerSchool account. (See last week's registration post for instructions!) https://wjsd.powerschool.com/public/home.html Don't forget to fill out a Free or Reduced Meal Online Application (It's Secure and Discreet.) This could save you hundreds of dollars over the course of a school year. School Registration is available online or in-person. How do I do online registration? From www.wjsd.org, click on the PowerSchool Tab. Login. Once you are in your parent/guardian account, click on “Forms” and then “Enrollment Forms.” Complete each form for each student and be sure to submit them. You know you’re finished when each of the forms has an July/August 2024 date on them. What do I do if I can’t login to PowerSchool? Contact: Jon Reyna - reynaj@wjsd.org or David Gemar - davidgemar@wjsd Why do I have to redo the same forms every year? Things can change from year to year. We need to make sure we have updated information from you, especially contact information. Also, sometimes our policies and procedures change, so be sure to read through them before submitting the agreement forms. How can I pay school fees? There are a couple ways to pay your student’s fees. 1. Cash or check at In-Person Registration or at the school office. 2. Credit card or debit card on PowerSchool. Those paying with a card online will be charged approximately a 4% convenience fee by the company we use to process the cards. DO NOT USE VENMO! Can I pay my lunch fees online? Yes! This year we are able to accept payments for lunch fees on PowerSchool, the same as other fees. If you use cash or check, pay directly to the Lunchroom. If you use a card, use PowerSchool. Those paying with a card online will be charged approximately a 4% convenience fee by the company we use to process the cards. DO NOT USE VENMO! You will also be able to keep track of your lunch balance on PowerSchool.

West Jefferson Volleyball: This Fall, we will be opening up the 7th grade volleyball team to 6th graders also. That means that our camp on July 29th-31st and Jr. High tryouts on August 13th will also include 6th graders. 6th graders will need a sports physical before they can tryout. So if you have a 6th grader or know of one, please pass on this information! Volleyball Open Gyms are starting Monday, July 1st for all 6-12 Grade girls. West Jefferson Summer Music Camps by our Music Teacher, Naomi Parker. These camps are for incoming 4th - 12th Grade Students. Beginner and Intermediate Musicians are encouraged to attend.
