West Jefferson High School students: Michael DeGraw, Annalise Williams, Brody Pancheri, and Yisel Rodriguez were invited to attend the Idaho State Math Badging Summit in Boise. Teachers, students, and leaders from the State Department of Education were in attendance. Our students were asked to present a project or task that they had completed in their math classes this year and many other schools were there to look and learn. Our students were amazing with their presentations, and they also participated in other activities, including a ropes course, a visit to Micron, and a tour of the STEM program at the College of Western Idaho. It was a unique experience, and our students enjoyed having a different kind of education outside of the classroom.
West Jefferson teachers Sherri Bell, Raquel Torgerson, and Bailee Burtenshaw also attended the summit to learn more about teaching math.
Mrs. Bell wants to give a big shout-out to Richard and Carrie DeGraw for being "the best student chaperones we could have asked for."

Linda Smuin and Michelle Spencer want to help kids stay physically active this summer! They will be having a free weekly activity night for all kids in first grade and up! There will be a short motivational message and then everyone will play a game. This is open to all kids and teenagers in our community. Meet at the Mud Lake City Park at 5:30pm every Thursday beginning June 12th.
Kids will need to be picked up at 6:30pm sharp!
For those interested (ages 12 and up), Linda and Michelle will then lead a group on a run together, starting at 6:30pm after the activity.

Next year's cross country athletes:
Coach Smuin and Coach Spencer will be holding a SHORT meeting for everyone interested in running on the junior high and high school cross-country team next fall. Meet at the track!

Notice

Coach Higgs will be away this week, but Coach Jed will be filling in to do sprints and weightroom for those that want to keep the momentum going on their gains!

25 Years!
In 2000, Terreton Elementary teachers and students created a time capsule to be opened twenty-five years later, in 2025. The time capsule was then stored in the basement of the '38 building of the Terreton Elementary School until now!
Plans have been made for the time capsule to be opened on the last day of school. On Thursday, May 29th at 11:15AM, those who would like to come to the Panther Den to witness the opening of the time capsule are welcome to join us! A new time capsule will then be created to be opened in 2050!
Rumor has it, there is a Twinkie inside the time capsule! Come to find out!
Check to see if you recognize any names on the time capsule and tag them in the comments!

Congratulations to our Lady Panthers, who have been recognized on the 3A All-Conference Softball Teams list for 2025.

Congratulations to all of our graduates!

Terreton Elementary's Spring Music Concert will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
