Here are the final results of the 2026 State Track Meet!
Cathy Montalvan also placed 8th in the 100m Hurdles and scored points for our team, but only 1st-6th places received medals.
Congratulations to these West Jefferson athletes on a job well done!

Bella Spencer - 2025-26 Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year

Currently living in Menan, Darien was born and raised in the Rigby area but spent 20 years in Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. During that time, he pursued his education, built a deck business, and worked for Trex, all while growing his family and gaining basketball coaching experience. Darien served as a student assistant coach at Bellevue University in Nebraska, where he graduated with a degree in sports management and a minor in coaching. Most recently at West Jefferson, Darien has coached our Junior High Boys Basketball Team and our High School Baseball Team.
Darien has been married to Tiffany for nearly 20 years and is the father of five children. In addition to basketball, Darien enjoys being outdoors—especially in the mountains—spending time with family, and serving others. He is the owner of GoliathTech Idaho, a helical pile installation company.
He is excited for the opportunity to coach the Lady Panthers and looks forward to summer ball, skill clinics, and preparations for what he expects to be a competitive season.

Coach Higgs is back to his regular after school schedule.

Besides our District Medal Winners, we had several other track athletes who qualified to compete at state!
